David Leonardis Gallery is located in the River North district of Chicago, IL...in the heart of a popular gallery area.

Since 1991 David Leonardis' gallery has been thriving in Wicker Park
, supplying the area with interesting artwork and entertaining get-togethers. David later added another DLG location in the River North district, which is where the June 6th opening reception was held for Mark's "Postcard Diaries" prints.

Interesting side note: David Leonardis has what must be the largest collection of Howard Finster artwork in the country. Incidentally, Mark Mothersbaugh named one of his two pug dogs "Finster" (aka "Finky").

Michael Proskin, a friend and DEVO fan, sponsored the show via his food service company, Catered Productions ...and provided an amazing array of delicious appetizers on reception night. He and his assistant, Rafael, certainly added a lot to the show, and we send a big THANK YOU to them. Use them for your next event if you are in the Chicago area!

20 of Mark Mothersbaugh's framed Postcard Diaries prints were featured at David Leonardis Gallery, including a couple new images which made their public debut at this particular exhibit. Thanks to everyone who purchased prints at the reception!

Mark Mothersbaugh was not able to attend in person, but we were able to host a live video chat from his home in Hollywood, which delighted everyone at the reception. Chicago native Cynthia Plaster Caster was able to chat with Mark, along with some lucky gallery visitors who asked him about his art, his work with DEVO, and the recent McDonald's DEVO toy rip-off.

Thanks to David Leonardis, Darren Hacker, Cynthia P. Caster, Jessica DeNardo, Scott Orsi, Michael Proskin, and Klocko Peacocko for all their help in making this show a success...and 'hello' to everyone I met in Chicago this time around.
