Creative Electric Studios hosted Mark Mothersbaugh's Beautiful Mutants show in 2004, and have now followed up with Mark's Postcard Diaries show in 2007.

20 Postcard Diary prints were featured in this 2007 show, and included a few new titles which made their public debut. Also making their debut were the new 2007 Gallery Tour T-shirts featuring Mark Mothersbaugh's Postcard Diary artwork.

Mark was spending time with his wife & daughter on vacation away from his scoring work in Los Angeles and wasn't able to attend.

A huge snowstorm swooped down on Minneapolis the day prior, and nearly kept me and everyone else from attending the reception. Luckily, my flight made it there just before the storm reached it's peak, and we were able to have a great reception on March 2nd.

Minneapolis' Chuck Statler, director extraordinaire responsible for DEVO's early films, showed up to see the latest work by his pal, Mark Mothersbaugh. Chuck and Mark both definitely have great taste in prescription eyewear.

The wintery storm made the street outside Creative Electric a great place for a snowball fight. Two young visitors spent most of the evening enjoying the easy-to-pack accumulation, and could be seen from the windows of the gallery as they pummeled each other with frozen projectiles.

Thanks to Dave, Jenny, Kurt, Karl, and all my friends in MN for making the show a success. It was fantastic to see so many people make the trek through the snow to see Mark's art.

Special thanks to Lynette Foxen for showing me around Minneapolis during my visit.

Looking forward to my next trip to the twin cities...
